Cous Cous is a 10-year-old girl with a story that’s both heartbreaking and full of hope. Five years ago, she was left behind when her owner moved away. Since then, she’s been surviving outdoors, cared for by kind tenants who made sure she was fed—but she’s never truly had a home or felt safe again.

Recently, Cous Cous was brought into care with the hope of giving her the stable, loving life she deserves. After everything she’s been through, she’s understandably traumatised. She can be defensive when she feels scared or overwhelmed—but beneath that fear is a cat who is deeply craving affection and connection.

Cous Cous is looking for a very special kind of home:

* No children and no other pets

* An experienced, patient owner who understands that trust takes time

She hasn’t been able to settle in with other cats and becomes distressed around them, so she truly needs a home where she can be the only pet and feel safe.

This is not an easy placement—but for the right person, Cous Cous has so much love to give. With patience, understanding, and consistency, she has the potential to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.

Her current carers adore her and wish they could keep her, but with a new baby arriving soon, they have to make the incredibly difficult decision to find her a safer, more suitable environment.
